This is a chart used to help figure out what heroes to re-gild to and when. You will want to start re-gilding once you have a surplus of Hero Souls. This doesn't happen until after you have Transcended for the first time.
The chart presents a "chronological order" in which you will most efficiently level heroes by Gold cost. The log10 Gold Req. column tells you how much Gold you need to reach that stage. If the damage output of your current Hero is high enough that you are still instakilling, you don't need to switch to the next hero, and you don't need to re-gild (yet) either. Because Heroes become more expensive the higher they level, and some Upgrades boost other Heroes, Heroes return later on in the chart where they become cost effective again. If you skip heroes, make sure that you buy any important Hero upgrades along the way, such as Chiron's +50% gold drop and Gog's 50% increased hero DPS. These are listed in the chart below, next to the Hero that is "optimal" at the time when you can first purchase that particular upgrade.
Once you are no longer able to keep instakilling, after switching to the most optimal hero, re-gilding and using cooldowns, you will want to Ascend. If you cannot gain new Ancient Souls (check "Next AS" on last tab and Ascension details on third tab) after Ascending, you will then want to commit to Transcending. Always Ascend before Transcending first, or any
Hero Souls gained during your final Ascension will be lost.
